Basil is currently in foster after his owner of several years had to rehome him due to ill health. He spent some time in kennels before his foster so is obviously a little nervous and confused. Words from his foster " He is a nervous lad when meeting new people or scenarios but wants to love and so after hiding from a new guest he will be asleep on their lap within an hour". Basil can learn to trust and patience will be rewarded we are sure. Easy to walk on a lead and happily will go anywhere. When meeting dogs when out he will vocalise and back away with nerves, but is not aggressive. Whilst he seems to take his confidence from humans it is felt that he could happily live with another calmer dog were people are regularly at home. Final words from his foster " He loves curling up on the sofa and squishing his humans" Basil is 4 years old, neutered, lived with cats may not be great with rabbits etc. If you are interested in adopting Basil please fill out an online adoption form or contact us for more information.
