  • About

This handsome chap is Tedi who was sadly found at the side of the road.  We think he had been hit by a car and his pelvis was broken.  His rescuer took him to the vet where his femoral head was removed on his right leg. He is now well on the way to recovery and should be fully mobile. All X-rays and information can be supplied to his new adopters.

Tedi is fully vaccinated and neutered, he is small in size and around 18 months old.  He is an extremely calm and good dog who gets on well with other dogs and loves human attention.  He isn’t tested with cats or children.

Tedi has been treated for heartworms and is fully recovered from heartworm. He has received BU's standard two needed negative tests The two tests we provide are the Knott blood test and an ultrasound scan to ensure there will be no lasting effects of heartworm remaining. Heartworm is not generally well known in the UK but there are plenty of articles online and a useful video within the video library on our website here

All our dogs are tested for the following prior to travel: Heartworm, Anaplasmosis, Ehrlichiosis, Lyme Disease, and Brucellosis (since 11th June 2021).
