Meet Momo
Meet mischievous and sociable Momo.
Mom Cora was a street dog from Zeleznik in Serbia, she appeared with visible signs of having given birth and was luckily spotted by our rescuer. They followed her and found Cora’s six puppies that had just been born. The rescuer moved them to safety, hidden from dog catchers until they were old enough for their first vaccine.
Momo likes to run and play with his siblings and is quite the little character. While he is usually the ring leader of the mischief, he loves a cuddle and fuss from adults and children equally as much as he likes to have fun.
Momo is neutered and fully vaccinated.
All our dogs are tested for the following prior to travel: Heartworm, Anaplasmosis, Erlichiosis, Lyme Disease, Brucellosis (since 11th June 2021).
Momo has been treated for and is fully recovered from heartworm. He has received our standard two negative tests after treatment including a lab Knott blood test and an ultrasound scan to ensure no lasting effects from the heart-worm have remained. These can all be supplied to their new adopter.
Heartworm is fairly common in Serbia and is transmitted by a mosquito bite. We have many fully recovered dogs leading normal and full lives in the UK after treatment. There is a useful video about heartworm on our YouTube channel.
