Shiva
Female dog, medium/large in size.
Approx. 2.5 years old (July 24).
Would love a chilled-out home!
Meet Shiva
Shiva was found in the bushes by our wonderful rescuer with her sister Aya and brothers Odin and Kofi, who are also looking for homes.
They all look very similar but Shiva has a white chest and is the smallest of the siblings.
When they were first found they were all quite timid and unused to human contact. Shiva is still quite shy and doesn't tend to run around much and prefers to lay down watching all the fun. She is not getting on with the hustle and bustle of a pension, and would love a quiet forever home where she can chill out.
Shiva has been fully vaccinated and will be spayed before travel.
Shiva has been treated for and is fully recovered from heart worm, she/he has received our standard two negative tests after treatment including a lab Knott blood test and an ultrasound scan to ensure no lasting effects from the heart-worm have remained, these can all be supplied to Shiva's new adopter. Heart-worm is fairly common in Serbia and is transmitted by a mosquito bite. We have many fully recovered dogs leading normal and full lives in the UK after treatment. There is a video about heartworm in our video library on our website that provides information and can be found here https://www.balkanunderdogs.org.uk/video-library.
All our dogs are tested for the following prior to travel: Heartworm, Anaplasmosis, Erlichiosis, Lyme Disease, Brucellosis (since 11th June 2021).
