  • Meet Byron

Big beautiful boy, Byron is a light coloured retriever who was rescued from the streets with his best friend, Bridget (who is also available for adoption). The sweet duo were living on the streets, near a restaurant. They spent a year there happily and lovingly begging for scraps but then the restaurant closed and both dogs were moved on. Luckily they were rescued at this time and brought to the pension to search for their forever homes with BU.

Byron is a wonderful dog, with a wonderful friendly nature. He is a smart, cuddly boy who likes to spend his time peacefully, in the company of people and other dogs. He also enjoys playing with toys and, of course, having a snack! He has shown no aggression to cats.

    Byron is neutered and vaccinated.

Byron tested positive on a routine screening test for Anaplasmosis, this is a fairly common tick-borne disease prevalent in countries such as the Balkans, it is treated with a course of 30 days of antibiotics which is sufficient according to vet advice received and will be retested at a later date. Byron does not show any symptoms of Anaplasmosis and has received this 30 day course of treatment. Further information on Anaplasmosis can be found here.

All our dogs are tested for the following prior to travel: Heartworm, Anaplasmosis, Erlichiosis, Lyme Disease, Brucellosis (since 11th June 2021).
