Doyle has been rescued from the streets along with his brother Bodie who is also looking for a home. They were dumped as puppies along with their sister. They have lived outside a pension for some time in their little house. Unfortunately the female dog disappeared and recently both Bodie and Doyle were threatened with poisoning. As both Bodie and Doyle have sight difficulties and are very close we would like to find a home for them together. Doyle is 95% blind and relies a lot on his brother Bodie and follows him around. Bodie also has sight difficulties. Unfortunately Doyle was receiving treatment for heartworm, but has now fully recovered and received the all clear from the vet.
The vet is of the opinion that both dogs sight difficulties are probably genetic and that one day Doyle could be fully blind. The other option is that they could have had distemper as puppies. Doyle has been described as being very loving and does not bark much - he seems to be very grateful for some love and attention and to be alive and safe.
