Mary Poppy
**IN UK FOSTER***
Female Bulldog, small/medium in size.
Approx. 7.5 years old (November 2025).
Absolutely adores humans so would be best being the only dog in the home to ensure she gets all the attention! Can live with children over the age of 10.
Meet Mary Poppy
Bulldog Mary Poppy came over to the UK in 2025 and was surrendered back into our care. She stayed a while with a wonderful member of our web team, however, due to Mary needing BOAS surgery in a practice some distance away she moved to stay with one of our lovely foster families. Thanks to both of these lovely families Mary is now recovered from her BOAS surgery and ready to find her very own family. She’s currently in the Shropshire area but can be transported to her new home.
She has been using the name Poppy and responds well to it. She’s a little over enthusiastic with cats so a cat free home is advisable - no aggression just likes to wind them up! Whilst she’s fine with other dogs on walks, as she is very human orientated she would be best placed in a home as an only dog, where she has undivided attention and doesn’t need to share her humans! They’re precious you know!
Mary Poppy travels really well in the car and loves to meet new people. Whilst she doesn’t have regular contact with children, she’s been happy in the company of children she’s met, so we would be happy to home her with children aged over 10 years old.
Mary Poppy is clean in the home, although when adjusting to a new environment, accidents should always be expected. She walks well on her lead and loves to play with her toys and tennis ball. She can be left for around four hours and will happily doze the time away. Although cuddles must be given on your return as it’s the thing she likes best in the world!
Mary Poppy needs a simple eye drop three times a day but takes these like a trouper! She had surgery in Serbia to remove her spleen and a hernia.
Mary Poppy is after a chilled out home where she can be the apple of someone’s eye and she will return that adoration in bucket loads!
Mary Poppy is spayed, vaccinated, negative on tests.
All our dogs are tested for the following prior to travel: Heartworm, Anaplasmosis, Erlichiosis, Lyme Disease, Brucellosis (since 11th June 2021).
