Meet Sandi
Sandi was living on the street near a school when the dog catchers were called. Luckily for her she was taken to safety before she could be put into a government pound.
Sandi is a happy girl who gets along well with other dogs. She loves our rescuer’s little boy who often plays with her. She’s an active dog but she’s also happy to relax so a home where she’ll get a couple of good walks a day, with kids to keep her entertained would suit her best. Sandi already knows how to walk on a lead.
She is vaccinated and spayed.
All our dogs are tested for the following prior to travel: Heartworm, Anaplasmosis, Erlichiosis, Lyme Disease, Brucellosis (since 11th June 2021).
Sandi tested positive on a routine screening test for Anaplasmosis. This is a fairly common tick-borne disease prevalent in countries such as the Balkans. It is treated with a 30 day course of antibiotics which is sufficient according to vet advice. Sandi not show any symptoms of Anaplasmosis and has received her 30 day course of antibiotics.
