Meet Agata
Sweet little poppet Agata lived for around a year near the forest in Topola where she was fed by locals and had a small house as shelter. The local children also used to play with Agata. She was taken to live with one of our rescuers and so she’s now used to living in an apartment which she shares happily with other dogs and cats.
Agata is described by her rescuer as very loving and sociable, she is calm in the home and would make a fantastic addition to a family or be a wonderful companion.
Agata is fully vaccinated and is spayed.
Our dogs are tested for the following conditions as part of our standard testing procedure - Heartworm, Anaplasmosis, Lyme Disease, Ehrlichiosis and Brucellosis (Since 11th June 2021).
Agata has tested positive on a routine screening test for anaplasmosis, this is a fairly common tick-borne disease prevalent in countries such as the Balkans, it is treated with a course of 30 days of antibiotics which is sufficient according to vet advice received. She does not show any symptoms of anaplasmosis and has received her 30 day course of antibiotics.
This is a useful information sheet on anaplasmosis. If you would like to be considered to adopt Agata, please complete the register of interest form on our website or contact us.
