Meet Belka
Belka was taken in by an elderly lady in Serbia, after appearing homeless near a mountain. She was very nervous when the lady first took her in, but quickly got used to an easier life.
Belka is a smart, obedient, sweet, gentle and calm girl who just yearns to be pampered.
Belka is spayed and vaccinated.
Belka tested positive on a routine screening test for Anaplasmosis, this is a fairly common tick-borne disease prevalent in countries such as the Balkans, it is treated with a course of 30 days of antibiotics which is sufficient according to vet advice received and will be retested at a later date. Belka does not show any symptoms of Anaplasmosis and has received this 30 day course of treatment. Further information on Anaplasmosis can be found here.
All our dogs are tested for the following prior to travel: Heartworm, Anaplasmosis, Erlichiosis, Lyme Disease, Brucellosis (since 11th June 2021).
