Billie

Billie was abandoned next to busy road together with her three puppies. She was very thin and starving, trying to feed her little family. Her puppies were very young at the time and since they were very close to the road, one puppy was sadly killed in traffic. Billie being such a resilient and clever little lady, clearly worried for the safety of her two remaining puppies, found sanctuary in an abandoned old house in the woods. Rescuers fed them however they needed to brought to the safety of a pension to survive the harsh winter.

 

Billie is very smart which she has already proven by moving her babies to safety, she is a kind and cuddly soul who is attached to people, loyal and good natured. Billie has met children and is happy in their company. She is a small little beauty, weighing only 6 kg. 

 

Billie gets along well with all the dogs in the pension.  She is fully vaccinated and will be spayed very shortly but certainly before travelling to the UK.
 

Our dogs are tested for the following conditions as part of our standard testing procedure - Heartworm, Anaplasmosis, Lyme Disease, Ehrlichiosis and Brucellosis (Since 11th June 2021).

 

Billie has tested positive on a routine screening test for anaplasmosis, this is a fairly common tick-borne disease prevalent in countries such as the Balkans. It is treated with a course of 30 days of antibiotics which is sufficient according to vet advice received. She does not show any symptoms of Anaplasmosis and is receiving her 30 day treatment.
