One smart cookie who loves humans and other dogs. Also gets on well with cats.
Meet Bridget
Bridget is a beautiful dog who appeared on the street at a very young age. With a wonderful and mild, calm nature, she quickly fitted in with the other dogs, and she developed a special bond with a retriever called Byron (who is also looking for a home). She shared shelter and food with him and learned from him how to navigate the streets. They were lucky that good people fed them regularly. However, they soon became a nuisance due to their size and someone drove them in an unknown direction. Luckily we found them quickly and unharmed and they are now in pension.
Bridget is a big adult dog who is very smart dog and has a great character. Bridget gets along perfectly with people and other dogs, and has not shown any aggression towards cats either.
Bridget is spayed and vaccinated.
Bridget tested positive on a routine screening test for Anaplasmosis, this is a fairly common tick-borne disease prevalent in countries such as the Balkans, it is treated with a course of 30 days of antibiotics which is sufficient according to vet advice received and will be retested at a later date. Bridget does not show any symptoms of Anaplasmosis and has received this 30 day course of treatment. Further information on Anaplasmosis can be found here.
All our dogs are tested for the following prior to travel: Heartworm, Anaplasmosis, Erlichiosis, Lyme Disease, Brucellosis (since 11th June 2021).
