Meet Cookie
With her little dark eye patch and softly spotted ears, Cookie is a girl you would recognise anywhere. Get to know her, and there is even more to love: she is friendly, affectionate and always pleased to spend time with people. Cookie enjoys cuddles and gets along well with other dogs. She is well socialised and has the makings of a lovely companion for someone who can offer her time, kindness and a place in their everyday life.
Her young life has already included a difficult chapter. Cookie became seriously unwell after being spayed in the pound and needed treatment with antibiotics. Thankfully, she made a full recovery and is now doing well. Cookie is still living in the pound, where she does not get the chance to leave her enclosure. Cookie needs the opportunity to enjoy exercise, companionship and the everyday comforts of a loving home.
BU supports the pound with the help of our lovely pound sponsors to supply additional food, vaccines, flea and tick treatments and veterinary care when needed.
A message from Cookie:
“I do not live a great life in the pound. I do not leave my enclosure, and the BU team cannot prepare me for travel while I am here. If you would like to adopt me, a contribution towards sponsoring me into a pension would help me take the first step towards home. A pension is a place where I will receive better care, spend time with other dogs, exercise daily and be prepared for travel. The average cost of keeping me safe in a pension is around €60 a month.
Thank you, love and licks from Cookie.”
Cookie is vaccinated, spayed, and negative on tests.
Our dogs are tested for the following conditions as part of our standard testing procedure - Heartworm, Anaplasmosis, Lyme Disease, Ehrlichiosis and Brucellosis (Since 11th June 2021).
