Meet Effie
Effie is looking for a happy ending.
Beautiful little girl Effie sadly found herself back in the pound once again. Two years ago she was spayed and returned to the streets. We believe she once belonged to a family in the countryside, as she had a chain around her neck. Sadly, her life has brought her back to the pound, where she is now waiting and hoping for a second chance.
Despite everything she has been through, Effie has the most loving nature. She absolutely adores people, loves cuddles and attention, and she gets along very well with other dogs.
Effie would make a wonderful companion and a perfect family dog. She is patiently waiting for someone to notice her, fall in love, and finally give her forever home she deserves.
Message from Effie:
"The pound that I live in is not a great pound at all. I do not get out of my enclosure and the BU team cannot get me travel ready whilst I am here. If you would like to adopt me it would be wonderful if you could contribute towards sponsoring me out of the pound and into a pension where I will get much better care, socialise with other dogs, exercise daily, and I can be prepared for travel. The average cost for me to be safe in a pension is around 50euros a month.

BU supports the pound with the help of our lovely pound sponsors to supply additional food, vaccines, flea and tick treatments and veterinary care when needed .
Effie is spayed, vaccinated and negative on testing.
All our dogs are tested for the following prior to travel: Heartworm, Anaplasmosis, Erlichiosis, Lyme Disease, Brucellosis (since 11th June 2021).
