Could live with another dog, given careful introductions

  • Meet Milica

Lovely Milica was found living on the street where she had given birth to puppies.  She was rescued and taken into a foster home where she was treated for heart worm.  In foster care she also learnt to walk on a lead, and lived with cats and other dogs. She was also good with the people and children she met.

Milica had to be moved to a Pension as the foster carer had too many dogs.  As she was not happy sharing her kennel at the pension, she has been given her own space where she is much happier but she would clearly benefit from a loving home of her own.  We believe she will be able to live with another dog, with careful introductions.

All our dogs are tested for the following prior to travel: Heartworm, Anaplasmosis, Erlichiosis, Lyme Disease, Brucellosis (since 11th June 2021).

    Rescue back up for life

Milica will be able to travel to the UK after two negative heartworm control tests have been achieved and a scan to check there has been no lasting damage.  Heartworm is fairly common in Serbia and many dogs recover in full if caught early enough and dogs can lead full and normal lives. You can view information about heartworm under the Video Library section.
