Meet Nora
Nora was rescued from the street with her puppy, Flora. When her rescuer took her to be spayed, they discovered she was already pregnant again. She is now safe and spayed, with the chance to enjoy life without raising any more litters.
Nora is a sweet, clever girl with a lovely calm nature. She loves attention and cuddles, and one of her favourite things is to hop onto a bench and sit beside you. She likes finding her favourite spots to settle, especially when she can be close to someone. She is excellent with other dogs, cats and children. Her gentle character and enjoyment of company make her a lovely companion, and her rescuer speaks so warmly of the happiness she could bring to a family.
After life on the street caring for her puppy, we would love Nora to have a home where she can be cared for too. Somewhere she can find her favourite seat, enjoy a cuddle and know she belongs.
Nora is spayed and vaccinated, negative on tests apart from testing positive for anaplasmosis on routine testing.
Anaplasmosis is a fairly common tick-borne disease prevalent in countries such as the Balkans. It is treated with a 30 day course of antibiotics which is sufficient according to vet advice. Nora does not show any symptoms of anaplasmosis and has received her 30 day course of antibiotics. You can find more information on anaplasmosis here.
Our dogs are tested for the following conditions as part of our standard testing procedure - Heartworm, Anaplasmosis, Lyme Disease, Ehrlichiosis and Brucellosis (Since 11th June 2021).
