Roz
Female dog, small in size.
Approx. 2 years old (November 2026).
Clever and sociable girl who loves people and other dogs.
Meet Roz
Roz was being kept in a separate kennel in the pound ahead of being returned to the streets after spaying. She had the sweetest expression on her face, almost as if she were smiling, quietly asking for help and patiently waiting. Luckily, our rescuer spotted her just in time, and we were able to stop her being returned to the streets. She initially shared her kennel with her friend Boo, who sadly became seriously ill and died despite treatment. His loss was heartbreaking, and we desperately want Roz to have the happy ending she deserves.
Roz is a very friendly, intelligent and sociable girl. She loves people and gets on very well with other dogs. Roz is looking for a loving home where she will never have to wait for help again. She has so much love to give and deserves to spend the rest of her life feeling safe, loved and cherished. Roz is safe in the pound, but she cannot leave her enclosure for exercise. Moving into a pension would give her more space, companionship and daily exercise, and once she has an adopter, it also allows the BU team to prepare her for travel.
BU supports the pound with the help of our lovely pound sponsors to supply additional food, vaccines, flea and tick treatments and veterinary care when needed.
A message from Roz:
“I do not live a great life in the pound. I do not leave my enclosure, and the BU team cannot prepare me for travel while I am here. If you would like to adopt me, a contribution towards sponsoring me into a pension would help me take the first step towards home. A pension is a place where I will receive better care, spend time with other dogs, exercise daily and be prepared for travel. The average cost of keeping me safe in a pension is around €60 a month.
Thank you, love and licks from Roz.”
Roz is spayed, vaccinated and negative on tests.
Our dogs are tested for the following conditions as part of our standard testing procedure - Heartworm, Anaplasmosis, Lyme Disease, Ehrlichiosis and Brucellosis (Since 11th June 2021).
If you would like to be considered to adopt Roz, please complete the register of interest form on our website or contact us.
