Ziggy

Gorgeous Ziggy has been in the UK since 2022 and now sadly finds himself looking for a new home. He is fully vaccinated and neutered.

 

Ziggy is a gorgeous little fella and would make a lovely companion.  Ziggy’s foster family describe him as always pleased to see them and he welcomes them when they come home. He is great in the home and settles down nicely in his bed when he wants peace and quiet. He can be left alone at home, causes no damage and is completely house trained. He calms down quickly when visitors enter the house.  He loves praise and to be stroked and scratched around the ears.

 

Ziggy does have some lead reactivity to other dogs, but time and patience will see this reduce. He relies on a calm handler.
 

He has easily adapted to family life and lives with four other dogs in his foster home. He does currently react when other dogs come too close to him when on his walks but once behind him, continues to sniff and explore so this is more likely excitement than anxiety. He could have a walking companion or calm doggie friend in the home and continued appropriate training will further reduce his trigger distance.

 

Ziggy is an amazing dog and now just needs the right environment to enable him to relax on walks and feel safe and secure. Ziggy cannot be rehomed with cats and is not tested with children.

 

Ziggy managed to fight the odds and survived distemper. Now we need to find him a loving home.

 

All our dogs are tested for the following prior to travel: Heartworm, Anaplasmosis, Erlichiosis, Lyme Disease, Brucellosis (since 11th June 2021).
